It cuts the minutes worth hearing out of long interviews with founders, CEOs and researchers, on shows like Dwarkesh, Lenny’s Podcast, No Priors and BG2, and plays each one from the second the answer starts, with the quote and the transcript. 3,029 moments so far, from 528 episodes of 75 shows, cut within hours of an episode coming out. Web. Android and iPhone apps in testing · Free. Pro $7/mo or $49/yr **Pick it if** You follow AI and want what the people building it said, without the hours. Every moment has the quote, who said it, the transcript and the video. **Skip it if** You want any podcast you choose summarized: we only cut the 75 shows we follow. It isn’t a podcast player, and the phone apps are still in testing. 2. **2. [Snipd](https://www.snipd.com/)** A podcast player that saves a “snip” when you tap your headphones, with AI transcripts, chapters, episode summaries and chat. Its AI marks highlights inside episodes, but you pick the episode and do the listening. iOS, Android · Free, with AI on 2 episodes a week. Premium from $6.99/mo **Pick it if** You listen to whole episodes and want to keep what struck you, with notes you can export. **Skip it if** You don’t have the hours to listen in the first place. Free gets AI on 2 episodes a week. 3. **3. [Podwise](https://podwise.ai/)** Turns an episode you pick into a summary, mind map, transcript and Q&A to read instead of listening, from Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube or a feed, with export to Notion, Readwise and Obsidian. Web, iOS, Android (from its own site) · Free basic account. Standard $5.90/mo billed yearly **Pick it if** You’d rather read a summary, a mind map and the transcript than listen. **Skip it if** You want to hear the speaker. It’s a rewrite of the episode, not the moment itself. 4. **4. [Gemini Notebook](https://notebook.google/)** Google’s AI notebook, called NotebookLM until July 2026. It answers questions from the sources you add, with citations, and makes podcast-style Audio Overviews. It takes an audio file or a YouTube link, not a podcast feed. Web, iOS, Android · Free, 100 notebooks. More with Google AI plans **Pick it if** You want to dig into one long episode and ask it questions, with answers cited to the source. **Skip it if** You want new episodes to come to you. It reads what you add and follows no feeds. 5. **5. [TLDL](https://www.tldl.io/)** A free daily text digest of a fixed list of AI and tech shows, such as Lenny’s Podcast, No Priors, a16z and All-In: summaries, takeaways and timestamped quotes. [PodSized](https://podsized.io/)** Five-minute summaries of podcast episodes, ready-made for its 100+ most popular shows, with transcripts, chat and audio summaries. Web, iOS, Android · 5 summaries a month free. $4.99/mo or $49.99/yr **Pick it if** You follow popular shows and want each episode in five minutes. **Skip it if** You want more than 5 summaries a month for free. 7. **7. [Pocket Casts](https://pocketcasts.com/)** A full podcast player. Its Plus plan adds generated transcripts; its AI chapters are switched off for now. Phones, web, desktop, watches · Free. Plus $3.99/mo or $39.99/yr **Pick it if** You listen to whole episodes of many shows and want a good free player. **Skip it if** You want the AI to do the picking. Its AI chapters are switched off for now. ## Questions ### Is there an app that picks the best part of AI podcasts for me? Yes. Real Alpha picks the best few minutes of each long AI interview and plays them from that second. TLDL writes a daily text digest of AI shows. Snipd and Podwise work on the episodes you choose. ### What’s the difference between podcast highlights and a podcast summary? A summary rewrites a whole episode in a few paragraphs. Highlights keep the speaker’s own words, a few minutes long, and play them. Podwise and PodSized summarize; Real Alpha and Snipd keep highlights. ### Which of these are free? Real Alpha, TLDL, Gemini Notebook and Pocket Casts are free to use. Snipd, Podwise and PodSized have free tiers with monthly limits.
