# Axios's Dan Primack says computing power is Anthropic's top risk

Dan Primack, business editor at Axios, said Anthropic's computing power is the most practical risk in its new stock filing. He said so on the Big Technology Podcast, in an episode posted Monday.

This matters if you own stock funds, since an Anthropic IPO could end up in many retirement accounts. It also touches the AI tools you may use, because the company needs enough computing power to keep them running and improving.

Primack read the filing's warning that Anthropic could fail to get enough computing power. In that case it might be unable to build AI systems that keep up with rivals. He said he has no doubt Anthropic can buy what it needs. It is one of the biggest players and will be at the front of the line, he said. An IPO would add cash. Then he said this.

"I think it's probably the most practical risk factor in there." That starts at 20:28.
