About this segment
Tiago says agents can pass a World ID signal through MCP using OAuth, and websites can choose whether to accept it. This gives sites an opt-in way to distinguish human-backed bots.

Thanks. We'll look at and fix what's off.

all just coming from one big agent swarm but then how does it technically work do they have to adopt something on their side to then be able to be compatible with you guys or do you guys just have to work with the agent itself yeah so it's uh it's a super simple product um the way it works technically is uh there is a protocol called OAuth right and so when your product when your agent is calling uh one of these tools the MCP of one of these providers um through MCP you can actually to send an OAuth, it can send the credential to let the website know like, hey, this is actually a verified human, right?
- 9:57
And so your agent sort of broadcast that and then those websites can consume that signal and they can decide to listen for that and so they know, okay, this is actually a good bot, like we can let them through or we can give them a special treatment. Yeah, this is interesting. So, but in theory though, one of the big goals, I guess one of the challenges with you guys is you want more of the internet to be able to have this protocol embedded because then that allows more of the internet to be able, or people, to be able to act with their agents that's verified, connected to an actual human ID, right? Yeah, and we'll have some news to share about that tomorrow at Cloudflare Connect. Oh, wow, Cloudflare Connect. I know we can't get the whole intel. I do want to get a little bit, because you already announced yesterday some of these partners. I know you mentioned Zoom.
- 10:37
I know you mentioned some other big partners. Who are some of these partners who are already embedding this that you're planning to work with? Yes, we're working with a number of initial partners in the financial ecosystem space, whether it's funds like Bain Capital, Open Exchange that we talked about on the earnings call side of things, just a series of companies, Pantera Capital. I'm not going to remember the whole list, and our poor PR person is going to be in the corner crying about this.

But there's a number of large, very serious institutions, and we've strategically picked one in each vertical so that we are showing the use case for each of those. And the cool thing is that starting this week at Zoomtopia, we will release a general availability of World ID for Zoom for any company that wants to adopt this. And so we already have a number of companies I've heard about this during our pilot period and they've reached out.
- 11:25
And so we're starting to work with them as well. And the goal very soon is that any company that wants to use this, they should be able to do it. And so we're really excited to finally roll this out. Super interesting.
