able to cancel uh the new report from the times that the pentagon is working with the israelis on detailed plans to launch a new military operation against iran right after the midterms the theory here is uh and stop me if you've heard this one before uh that another few days of intense bombing might push Iran's economy over the brink and force their leaders to the negotiating table. Pete Hegseth apparently met with Bibi Netanyahu in Israel this week. The Times did say that Trump has not approved the plans yet. And Netanyahu, of course, faces elections of his own this coming Tuesday. I am, like, bewildered just from a political perspective what Trump is even thinking here your mistake here is if you think he's thinking or that any of them yeah no one's thinking look they have to solve this problem in some way shape or form they don't have what it
- 27:08
takes to solve it diplomatically right or intellectually and so the only you know you got a bunch of dumb hammers at the pentagon everything looks like a nail and so this is there's reports that they're thinking about dropping the mother of all bombs on like pickaxe mountain, which is where they think that's one of the nuclear facility is. But the problem there is that it's buried deep, deep, deep underground, and the mother of all bombs would not actually touch it. But also, like, play that out for a second. So let's just say they had left it on the third floor of the mountain, and they could get to it, and it's destroyed. Why do we think that would change the calculus of the Iranians, who, as we know— You know what they want to say is. Well, that's a different thing. What Trump wants to say is we did it. We got rid of the
- 27:56
dust. We destroyed the rest of the dust. The strait is open. And by open, it means it takes billions and billions of dollars and how many hundreds of armed forces stationed maybe permanently around the Strait of Hormuz to escort these ships through. But we can't even do that because we're not in charge of whether it opens or not. Right. It's really stupid because the one thing that trump has never really realized is the iranian leadership does not give a shit about the country and the people in the country and they don't face the will of the voters so it's like high gas prices is not going to lead people it's not going to increase the generic ballot in the upcoming iranian elections it's like it's a very different situation idiots um well that's another reason to get out and vote because uh you know donald trump thinks after the election he's
- 28:46
just going to go ahead and continue bombing.
